Michigan State football goalie Justin Bell had a great visit

Three-star offensive lineman Justin Bell of Dakota High School took his official visit to Michigan State on June 21, the last weekend before the summer dead period.

Bell’s teammate, Di’Mari Malone, committed to the Spartans in May. Bell had previously been to Michigan State for unofficial visits, such as the Junior Day event in February. But the official visit was an eye-opener for the 82nd-ranked offensive tackle in the class of 2025.

Bell told me what struck him most was the culture, how well all the teammates got along and the sense of family and camaraderie. He said he felt like he fit in with the established lineman and with the new lineman who had just arrived on campus.

“I liked the coaching staff too, they treat me like I’m already on the team. They’ve always been in touch and they’ve always been nice to me, and it’s always been great to have that,” Bell said. told me. “(Michalczik) never lies about anything, he’s always honest with you about what happened. And basically he really wants to be as honest as he can, and not sugarcoat anything. And he’s generally always been a great guy .He’s always checking in on people, making sure everything is okay. He’s also a great recruiter.”

Bell said he likes that Michalczik has a history of developing and sending talent to the NFL, especially when it comes to players who are “underrated” coming out of high school, like Bell.

“A lot of people have come to him and done the work, and with his drills, his teaching and his play calling, he’s helped a lot of guys develop into great football players who will go on to the NFL. I see myself developing under him ” Bell said.

Bell said he wants to go to a school where he can put in the work, bond with his teammates and put himself in a position to reach the next level.

Bell and the new coaching staff have been in “constant” contact since their arrival. Despite the communication, the Spartans tendered Bell late — June 17, just days before his official visit. Bell said the Spartans made him feel wanted and cleared up any questions about the validity of their offer.

“All weekend they tried to make sure I felt like I was a priority for them, and I really feel that now,” Bell said.

Bell said Michigan State is one of his best schools. Despite the late offer, the Spartans appeared to have made amends with Bell.
