Springfield driver dies in 11th fatal motor vehicle crash of 2024

A Springfield man involved in a single-car crash earlier this month has died from his injuries, according to Springfield police. This is the eleventh fatal car accident in 2024.

On June 11, Chance Parker, 35, was driving west on I-44 approaching Glenstone Avenue when his vehicle ran off the roadway, rolled and ended up next to a culvert, SPD said. He was taken to hospital, where he died on June 22.
