Former President Trump selects vice presidential candidate and will attend the debate in Atlanta on Thursday

The debate will be broadcast on CNN on Thursday evening

(FOX NEWS) – Former President Trump says he knows who he will choose as his running mate, but says he has yet to reveal the name of that choice to anyone.

Speaking to reporters this weekend, the presumptive Republican presidential nominee said he has settled on a vice presidential candidate.

“In my mind, yes,” Trump said Saturday when NBC News asked him during a shopping stop in Philadelphia whether he had made a choice about his running mate.

When asked if the person he selected is aware, the former president replied: “No, no one knows.”

Trump added that the person he picked will “most likely” attend the first debate between Trump and President Biden on Thursday, which will take place in Atlanta.

“They will be there,” the former president added. “I think a lot of people will come.”
