What are the Michigan State basketball roster combinations for Moneyball 2024?

It’s that time of summer again when we can all get way too excited about the Moneyball Pro-Am stats and scores and (prematurely) buy all the stock in our favorite Michigan State basketball players.

Every year there seems to be a breakout guy that looks like he’s taking over the next season and he’s making headlines for dominating at Moneyball.

The stats should be taken with a grain of salt as these teams aren’t exactly playing lockdown defense in this Pro-Am. They are there to show off their offensive skills, saving some energy on the defensive end. But that won’t stop fans from buying all the stock in Pierre Brooks before the 2022-2023 season and in Jaxon Kohler before the 2023-2024 season.

Brooks is now at Butler and Kohler is expected to start or be the backup center after a disappointing sophomore season marred by a foot injury.

But this year’s Moneyball rosters have now been officially set and we know which Spartans will be playing together at next month’s Pro-Am.

Team Goodfellas: Szymon Zapala and Kur Teng

Team Tri-Star Trust: Gehrig Normand and Jaxon Kohler
Team Snipes: Tre Holloman and Carson Cooper
Team Motorcars: Jaden Akins and Xavier Booker
Team Case Credit Union: Frankie Fidler and Jesse McCulloch
Team Faygo: Coen Carr and Jase Richardson

The teams I’m probably most excited about are Team Motorcars and Team Faygo. It will be fun to see Jaden Akins and Xavier Booker develop a bond as potentially the two best players on the roster next season. Coen Carr and Jase Richardson, on the other hand, will be a walking highlight reel.

Many eyes will be on Szymon Zapala and Frankie Fidler as the team’s two transfer newcomers, so we’ll see if they can hold their own and show off some attacking play.

As you can see, it doesn’t say Jeremy Fears Jr. on the schedules and I assume this is more of a precaution. He doesn’t need to put himself in danger of a setback during a Pro-Am that wouldn’t really help his game anyway.

Get ready for some wild headlines and a green Kool-Aid soon.
