Annual Des Moines Arts Festival happening this weekend

(Des Moines, IA) — Road closures have begun in preparation for the Des Moines Arts Festival at Western Gateway Park, which attracts more than 200,000 visitors annually.

The 27th annual event has closed several streets in the area, including 12th, 13th and 15th streets between Grand Avenue and Locust Street, as well as Locust between 10th and 16th streets.

On Thursday, artists will set up booths along Grand Avenue between 10th and 16th streets.
