Pennypacker Mills hosts a Victorian-era game day

Pennypacker Mills is hosting a Victorian-era game day for residents of all ages on Saturday, July 27 from 12pm to 4pm. The event will offer fun activities from mid-July 19.e Century, including an era-authentic baseball game.

Everyone is welcome to visit the historic Pennypacker Mills property to enjoy toys and games that were popular in the Victorian era. Guests are invited to try their hand at croquet, graces, ring toss, cup and ball, Jacob’s Ladder and more! Optical illusion toys such as flip books and stereoscopes also provide timeless fun.

On Pennypacker Mills game day, the Athletic Base Ball Club of Philadelphia will take the field. Join the team for an interactive game of “town ball,” before watching a full baseball game with rules, uniforms, and equipment from the 1860s. Bring a chair or blanket to sit on and enjoy the game.

This event is free with a suggested donation of $2 per person.
