Storm closes Key West Hartford Road

WEST HARTFORD, CT – A major roadway in the city was closed Thursday morning after an overnight series of severe thunderstorms and heavy rain.

West Hartford Police reported that Mountain Road between Apple Hill Road and Walker Lane was closed to traffic in both directions due to downed wires.

Motorists are urged to find alternative routes into the area.

“Please avoid any area with downed trees or wires and notify WHPD of any hazardous conditions,” the WHPD wrote.
