This postseason could see a full-on rise to superstar status for young guard Anthony Edwards, who continues to rise in most major statistical categories, including scoring (25.9 ppg), assists (5.1 apg) and field goal percentage (46 .1%). Now he and versatile big man Karl-Anthony Towns lead a West contender built around defense and the ability to control the paint. Minnesota led the NBA in scoring defense, allowing 106.5 points per game.

The Suns won three games in a row to end the season on a high enough note to claim the sixth spot in the West and avoid the Play-In Tournament. Phoenix has one of the best scoring tandems in the NBA, with Kevin Durant and Devin Booker both averaging 27-5-5 or better, and they are surrounded by capable shooters. If the Suns get hot, they can go up and down and score anywhere, but they’ll have to win the pace battle with the TWolves first.

The Timberwolves and Suns are set for a 3:30 PM ET start on ESPN. Live streams are available through FuboTV (free trial), DirecTV Stream (free trial), and SlingTV (free trial).
