‘Pirates Of The Caribbean’ Actor Tamayo Perry Dies In Shark Attack In Hawaii – Employment & Education

Honolulu, June 24 (FN Agency) Lifeguard and surfing instructor Tamayo Perry, who played the role of a pirate in “Pirates Of The Caribbean: On Stranger Tides” in addition to appearances in “Charlie’s Angels: Full Throttle” and “Blue Crush,” has died in a shark attack in Hawaii, according to media reports. Perry was 49. On Sunday afternoon, Perry was attacked near Goat Island while surfing off Oahu, Sky News quoted Honolulu emergency services as saying.

The incident was reported by a caller who saw a man with injuries similar to shark bites. Emergency services arrived on the scene at Malaekahana beach just before 1pm local time. Rescuers took Perry — an Ocean Safety lifeguard and surf instructor — by jet ski to shore, where paramedics pronounced him dead, said Shayne Enright of the Honolulu Emergency Services Department. He appeared as a pirate in Pirates Of The Caribbean: On Stranger Tides, Honolulu’s Star Advertiser reported in 2011. Shark warnings were posted by Ocean Safety personnel after the attack.
