More artists have been added to the free stage lineup

The final wave of artists set to appear on the 2024 Indiana State Fair Hoosier Lottery Free Stage includes a Van Halen tribute band, a Rock & Roll Hall of Famer and a Mexican-Colombian music group.

Two of the acts, commemorating the 60th anniversary of the Beatles’ appearance at the state fairgrounds, were announced earlier this week.

All shows on the free stage are free with paid fair admission. Seating is first come, first served. Discounted fair tickets are now available online at indianastatefair.com.

2024 State Fair Concerts

Here are the new additions to the Indiana State Fair’s free podium program starting June 26:

August 3: Hard Day’s Night-Beatles Tribute and Live and Let Die: The Music of Paul McCartney
August 6: 84 – Van Halen tribute
August 7: Buddy Guy
August 13: WEDJ Latino-Fest featuring: Con La Sonora Dinamita de Colombia
August 17: Lita Ford

Who will be performing at the 2024 Indiana State Fair?

84 – Van Halen Tribute celebrates the classic rock band’s original lineup, featuring hits from the band’s self-titled album (1978) through their hit album “1984.” Fans can expect familiar favorites like “Jump,” “Panama,” “Hot for Teacher” and more.

Eighty year old Friend dude comes with a long list of blues and rock legends: he’s a Rock & Roll Hall of Famer, an eight-time Grammy winner (and 2015 recipient of the organization’s Lifetime Achievement Award), a Kennedy Center honoree, recipient of the Presidential National Medal of the Arts and one of Rolling Stone’s 100 Greatest Guitarists of All Time.

Con La Sonora Dinamita de Colombia is a Mexican-Colombian cumbia group originally formed in 1960 and has released over 30 albums. They will be featured as part of WEDJ’s Latino Fest. The Danville and Indianapolis-based radio station broadcasts regional Mexican music.

Lita Ford was the lead guitarist for the all-female 1970s rock band The Runaways before launching her solo career. She is known for hits such as ‘Close My Eyes Forever’ (a duet with Ozzy Osborne) and singles ‘Kiss Me Deadly’ and ‘Fire In My Heart’.

When does the Indiana State Fair open?

The Indiana State Fair takes place from August 2 to 18. It is closed on Mondays.
