Charles City School Superintendent Suspended – 95.1 The Bull

Charles City School Superintendent Dr. Anne Lundquist, has been placed on paid administrative leave.

According to an email addressed to all teachers and staff at the school sent Friday afternoon, the district has begun an investigation into allegations of conduct “that raises questions about Dr. Lundquist for his duty and ability to serve as an employee of the Charles City Community School District. .” The email was sent by school board chairman David Schrodt, MD.

The email indicated that the district attorney will lead the investigation and that the district will be assigned a temporary superintendent from the Central Rivers AEA to serve while Dr. Lundquist is on leave. It was also indicated that further information will be provided if necessary.

Lundquist began as interim superintendent on July 1, 2022. On February 1 of this year, Lundquist announced that she would resign at the end of this school year.
