Woman arrested for domestic violence in Springfield

SPRINGFIELD – A woman was arrested Monday on domestic violence charges and an outstanding warrant, according to Springfield police.

Authorities responded to a call about an incident involving a dark blue Honda on Fairground Road around noon.

The male victim, who suffered visible injuries, told a witness he intended to report the incident to police.

Upon arrival at the department, officers conducted an investigation leading to the arrest of Gabrielle Williams for allegedly assaulting the victim.

Williams was processed, including being fingerprinted and photographed, and was released on conditions and a summons to appear in Windsor Superior Court at 12:30 a.m. Tuesday.

She is also being held at the Southern State Correctional Facility on $500 bail for the in-state arrest warrant.
