She then clocked a wind-assisted 10.84 seconds to win the 100 meters, the only time under 11 seconds in the collegiate section (wind: +2.2 m/s), as she continued her preparations for the busy sections of the Olympic season.

This is her second sub-11 second performance this season with a following wind, after clocking 10.87 seconds (2.6 m/s) at the LSU Battle on the Bayou in March.

Meanwhile, Odell Frye (11.19) and Victory Godah (11.28) of Minnesota finished second and third, respectively, in the LSU Alumni Gold event.

About two hours later, Lyston returned to dominate the 200m with a lead of 22.35 seconds in all conditions (wind: +2.8 m/s). The Jamaican sophomore controlled the race from the start before pulling away from the rest of the field in the final stretch for a comfortable victory.

Jada McDougle of Southern Miss. (23.07) finished second, followed by LSU’s Aniyah Bigam (23.07) and Leah Phillips (23.15).
