More sunshine hits New England as light showers fall midweek – NBC Boston

Sunday will be the highlight of the weekend, with morning sun on tap. Some clouds will build up on Sunday afternoon and evening and the wind will become light. High temperatures will be mild in the upper 50s. New England will be greeted by more sunshine Monday and Tuesday with highs in the upper 50s to low 60s and overnight lows in the upper 30s to low 40s. Local frost may occur in Metro West early Tuesday morning. If possible, protect sensitive plants. Rain chances increase on Wednesday with scattered light showers. The rain is not expected to be heavy, but rather fog and drizzle. Rain totals will be less than 1″. On the other side of the midweek rain, high temperatures will be noticeably cooler in the low 50s. To round out the week, high pressure will build again over the Northeast, bringing drier and more stable conditions on Friday and Saturday, with temperatures returning to what is typical for this time of year.
