Ground beef products recalled due to E.Coli

WASHINGTON, DC – The Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) has issued a public health alert regarding raw ground beef products that may still be in consumer and food service freezers, despite are no longer for sale. This alert was released Saturday afternoon due to safety concerns.

The ground beef in question was produced on March 28, with an expiration date of April 22 and a packaging date labeled ‘032824’. The FSIS has not initiated a recall because the products are believed to have been purchased, but is advising of potential risks.

These products are marked with the location number “EST. 960A” within the USDA inspection mark and were distributed to retail locations and food service facilities nationwide. The FSIS has made the list of affected products and their labels available on their website for public reference.
